There is a return to peasant food, simple hearty food that corresponds with the trend toward simpler living. But there now there is an added elegance to the rustic fare. From salumis and cheeses to olive oil and salt, everything has become artensinal. Inspired by the lighting and framing techniques of the Dutch Masters, we captured the return of this simple food. These images were ideal for restaurant and grocery clients as well as the specialty food sector.
